This qualification is for drivers
working with taxis and private hire, communitytransport. The
aim of the qualification is to improve the skills, knowledge

will provide this service by driving vehicles..Course structure:To
receive a full award candidates are required to achieve all
threemandatory units plus at least five optional units. Unit
choices are tailored tothe specific employment area in which

The Level
2 BTEC Award in Transporting Passengers by Taxi and Private
Hire is designed to support and enhance the knowledge of existing
or prospective drivers who wish to develop or begin a career
in transporting passengers. It will provide career opportunities
for persons seeking a career in driving a passenger transport
vehicle, employed passenger transport drivers who will undertake
this qualification as part of their continuing professional
development and existing passenger transport drivers who wish
to return to the industry after an absence and require their
qualifications to be updated.

MIDAS
and PATS Qualifications
MIDAS
This course is designed for drivers who
drive a minibus, MPV or car and require to update and refresh
their driving skills and disability awareness.
PATS
This course is for anyone employed in
a care and/or supervision role when travelling by road. Roles
include: Escorts, Carers, Chaperons and/or Helpers.
Duration: 1 day
City
& Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Conflict Management (1884)
This vocational related qualification
is designed for staff whose working environment may require
them to deal with verbal abuse at work. It will provide them
with the skills to:
- Assess and Reduce the risk of conflict
and violence in the work environment
- Identify behaviour that indicates
an escalation towards violence and take appropriate measures
to avoid or calm and defuse the situation.
- Provide post incident support and
use the circumstances of the incident for personal and organisation
learning
The
Level 2 qualification comprises an element of pre-study and an
element of practical skills training.
Duration: The course is normally delivered over two days with
an average training day of 7½ hours
Edexcel
BTEC Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Conflict Management Training
(1886)
The SIA has specified that trainers who
deliver conflict management training must hold an SIA endorsed
and QCA accredited trainer qualification in the delivery of
scenario-based conflict management training. This course is
delivered in two parts and certification is through Edexcel.
The qualification is in 2 parts:
Part 1: Communication Skills &
Conflict Management
Part 2: Certificate of Training Competence (7302)

(PTLLS)
This vocational related qualification
is designed for staff whose working environment requires them
to deliver training. It will provide them with the skills to:
- Understand own role, responsibilities
and boundaries of role in relation to teaching.
- Understand appropriate teaching and
learning approaches in the specialist area.
- Demonstrate session planning skills.
- Understand how to deliver inclusive
sessions which motivate learners.
- Understand the different assessment
methods to assist in teaching.
The Level 3 qualification comprises an

over 5 days with an average training day of 7½ hours
First Aid – 1 Day introductory
course
This course is ideal for smaller work
place environments that present minimal health and safety risks
i.e. small companies, offices, shops and employees who travel
or work off site. Designed primarily for those who wish to have
a basic knowledge of First Aid. The course meets the recommendations
by the health and safety executive for the appointed person
rule and regulations 198
