Training & Assessment Consultant (DWSO, CS, BA)

Reporting to: Regional Contracts Manager

Salary: Competitive with full participation in company benefits schemes on the anniversary of PDM start date.

Terms of Employment: 12 Months Fixed Contract

Main Purpose of Role:

  • Under the direction of the Regional Contract Manager (RCM) undertake the delivery of a range of NVQ at all levels in support of the Train to Gain initiative and in accordance with PDM processes, the awarding body standards and the contractual requirements of the LSC.
  • The post will be home based, centred on the SE Region but may require regular travel to a variety of sites across the UK.
  • Comply with all pre and post delivery administrative preparations/requirements of nominated PDM programmes as directed by the RCM and/or person responsible for the activity.
  • Ensure timely liaison with Candidates/Learners, Quality and Verification Officers, Programme Support Administrators and PDM clients
  • Comply fully with PDM Quality Management Systems and procedures.
  • Plan implement and fully document inductions, initial assessments and mid/end of course reviews with learners.
  • Create learner portfolios to agreed standards and within specified timelines, and prepare these portfolios for internal verification/moderation and archiving.
  • When required, and qualified to do so, assist with internal verification/Moderation of PDM programmes of training and or assessment in accordance with PDM processes, the awarding body standards and the PDM contract with the LSC and or client.
  • When required to do so, deputise for other staff delivering PDM programmes of training and or assessment.
  • Be prepared to operate independently of other PDM staff to deliver the requirements of the post.

    Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the RCM and Quality and Verification staff in continuous improvement of the programme.
  • Ensure the accurate input and subsequent updates of learner data on the management information system.
  • Adhere to strict timelines for registration, internal verification, assessment and certification.
  • Ensure timely and regular liaison with employers and candidates to ensure compliance with relevant contractual obligations and the smooth delivery of programme.
  • Attendance and constructive programme feedback in company and team forums as required by RCM, Operations/Programme support and Quality coordinator and Internal Verifier/Moderator.
  • Participate fully in Internal and External audit and Verifier visits as required by the RCM, Programme and Quality coordinator and Internal Verifier/Moderator.
  • Plan for and ensure: efficient, cost effective, time and resource management
  • Comply with all instructions relating to the security, care and maintenance of company equipment
  • Provide assistance to other PDM areas of business as required by the RCM and Quality and Verification staff.
  • Liaise with customers and other members of PDM as required to successfully deliver the requirements of the post/programme

Be prepared to undertake other duties appropriate to the post as agreed by the Training Contract Manager and the Operations Director.
