Training
& Assessment Consultant (Driving)

Location: South West of England
Reporting to: Regional Training
Contracts Manager
Salary: Competitive with full

PDM start date.
Terms of Employment: Fixed Term
Main Purpose of Role:
- To deliver training and
assessment for Level 2/3 NVQs in Road Passenger Transport (PCV),
Driving Goods vehicles and Transportation of Goods in accordance
with PDM processes, the awarding body standards and the contractual
requirements of the client.
- The post will be home based but will require
regular travel to a variety of sites across South West, South
East And East of England. (You could spend up to 3 nights away
in a hotel).
- Comply with all pre and post delivery
administrative preparations/requirements of nominated PDM programmes
as directed by the RTCM and person responsible for the activity.
- Ensure timely liaison with Employers,
Candidates/Learners, Quality and Verification Officers and PDM
Programme Support Administrators.
- Comply fully with PDM Quality Management
Systems and procedures.
- Plan implement and fully document inductions,
initial assessments and mid/end of course reviews with learners.
- Create learner portfolios to agreed standards
and within specified timelines, and prepare these portfolios for
internal verification/moderation and archiving.
- When required, and qualified to do so,
assist with internal verification/Moderation of PDM programmes
of training and or assessment in accordance with PDM processes,
the awarding body standards and the PDM contract with the LSC
and or client.
- When required to do so, deputise for
other staff delivering PDM programmes of training and or assessment.
- Be prepared to operate independently of
other PDM staff to deliver the requirements of the post.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the Regional
Contracts Manager and Quality and Verification staff in continuous
improvement of the programme.
- Ensure the accurate input and subsequent
updates of learner data on the management information system.
- Adhere to strict timelines for registration,
internal verification, assessment and certification.
- Ensure timely and regular liaison with
Employers, Candidates and PDM staff to ensure compliance with
relevant contractual obligations and the smooth delivery of programme.
- Attendance and constructive programme
feedback in company and team forums as required by Regional Contracts
Manager, Programme support and Quality coordinator and Internal
Verifier/Moderator.
- Participate fully in Internal and External
audit and Verifier visits as required by the Regional Contracts
Manager, Programme and Quality coordinator and Internal Verifier/Moderator.
- Plan for and ensure: efficient, cost effective,
time and resource management
- Comply with all instructions relating
to the security, care and maintenance of company equipment
- Provide assistance to other PDM areas
of business as required by Regional Contracts Manager and Quality
and Verification staff.
- Liaise with customers and other members
of PDM as required to successfully deliver the requirements of
the post/programme

to the post as agreed by the Training Contract Manager and the Operations
Director.
