Training
& Assessment Consultant (Security)

Salary: Competitive with full

Terms of Employment: Fixed Term
Main Purpose of Role:
- Undertake the delivery of Security courses and
NVQ training and assessment for commercial and publicly funded
Security programmes of training and or assessment in accordance
with PDM processes, the awarding body standards and the PDM contract
with the LSC/client.
- Create learner portfolios to agreed standards
and within specified timelines, and prepare these portfolios for
internal verification/moderation and archiving.
- Plan implement and fully documented inductions,
initial assessments and mid/end of course reviews with learners.
- Conform to all pre and post delivery administrative
preparations/requirements of nominated PDM programmes as directed
by the TCM and person responsible for the activity.
- Liaison with Candidates/Learners, Quality and
Verification Officers, Programme Support Administrators, Military
Staff and clients
- When required to do so, deputise for other
members of the AIS team delivering PDM programmes of training
and or assessment.
- When required, and qualified to do so, assist
with internal verification/Moderation of PDM programmes of training
and or assessment in accordance with PDM processes, the awarding
body standards and the PDM contract with the LSC and or client.
- To deliver relevant training programmes within
the Security Industry including the invigilation of examinations.
- Design and implement training programmes that
meet market needs in line with the standards laid down by the
awarding bodies.
- The post is based in Andover and will
require regular travel to a variety of sites within the UK and
Northern Ireland
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure timely and regular liaison with customers
and other members of PDM as required to successfully deliver the
requirements of the post/programme.
- Ensure the accurate input of learner data onto
the management information system.
- Adhere to strict timelines for registration,
internal verification, assessment and certification.
- Attendance and constructive programme feedback
in company and team forums as required by Training Contracts Manager,
Programme and Quality coordinator and Internal Verifiers/Moderators.
- Participate fully in Internal and External
audit and Verifier visits as required by the Training Contracts
Manager, the AIS Programme and Quality coordinator and Internal
Verifiers/Moderators.
- Plan for and ensure: efficient, cost effective,
time and resource management
- Comply with all instructions relating to the
security and maintenance of (personal issue) company equipment
- Provide assistance to other Training
Contract Managers as required.
Be prepared to undertake other duties appropriate
to the post.
