NVQ Level 2 in Communication Technologies (Operating)
This qualification is intended for those
people who operate installed communications systems to transfer
information including CCTV. Communication links will need to be
established, information transmitted, received and handled in
the most appropriate way in relation to its precedence and sensitivity.
NVQ Level 3 in Communication Technologies (Installation Team Leaders)
This qualification is intended for those
people who are responsible for leading, and working within a team
of installers. This includes installation of external network
plant, internal systems and equipment, and aerial equipment. Prospective
candidates for this award will have functional control over members
of their team and may have various devolved responsibilities but
not necessarily line management responsibility.
NVQ Level 3 in Communication Technologies (Systems)
This qualification is intended for those
people who install/commission/maintain/repair internal networks,
systems and equipment, in either public or private networks. The
award has a number of applications including switching, transmission,
datacoms, power and radio.
NVQ Level 4 in Management of Communication Technologies
This qualification is intended for communications
managers including those who manage and control the planning and/or
installation of networks, systems and services, and the operation
of in-service communications centres.
